Paul sought once again to focus readers on things above ( Colossians 3:1–2) rather than the daily concerns of life. Paul concludes this teaching with a reference to the bondservant's true master: Jesus Christ. Even the lowliest slave, when they accept faith in Christ, becomes a servant of the greatest person in the universe.

Colossians 3:1-24 King James Version (KJV) 3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
